Rx4 electrical problems

I know that this post is a long shot but I thought I would try. I have started having electrical problems with my Rx4. It has electronic ignition so thats a change from stock. I use the leading coil's power supply to trip a relay. That relay is taking power from the battery (fused ofcourse) and running both coils with it. I no longer have a resistor in the circuit that was once running the leadig coil (the one that is now running the relay). The car shut down the other night and would not crank and it didnt have dash lights either. I replaced a couple of fuses and got everything working again. As soon as I started driving to work the next mornign though I started experiencing problems. I used the turn signal and lost dash lights. The turn signals stopped working too. Also the tach stopped working at the same time. I was able to make the tach and dash lights start working again by turning the head lights on but as soon as I used the turn signal on the dash lights quit again. Now I cant get any dash lights working unless the head lights are on. And then they are dim and the tach only reads like a third of actual rpm. Any ideas?

you have a short in your turn signal wiring, and seems to have now blown two circuits and now the only voltage to the cluster is backfed voltage when the lights are on I would guess.
