OK here is my list:
72-75:round
73 Savana GT(Jap only): Rotor style
76?(jap only): Hex lights
76-78 SP(US only, and 77 and 78 and piston 808 wagon to aus.): vertical Rectangular.

Now for a recap, as far as i know every one got the round lights in most years. Hex and rotor tail lights were for japan only and the rotor ones were for savana GT only in 73. The rotors are the rarest and impossible to find followed next by hex lights which are hard to find but they come up now and then. The next are the US SP lights but arent as rare because all the AUS. 808 wagons came with those from 77-78. For the round ones, well every one has those.

Those square ones that were posted up i have never seen before, and never heard of. Are those 808 lights?

Here is a good web page too view the different tail lights. It doesnt show the plaine round ones or the SP lights:

http://www.revpower.com.au/mainframe.htm

Here are pics of the SP tail lights:

Oh and i e mailed to ask about how much a set of the rotor tail lights cost, and he e mailed back and said he only has one set for himself but he had 2 other sets in the past. One set was OEM in box and sold for like 5k supposedly. His other set were used and he sold those for like 2500. ??? So ya. I guess the reason why they are so much is because there is only like 7 sets in all of aus. and down there its a big thing to have em to be "cool". So ya that should sum this all up.

YES those are 77-78 SP lights. is your car actualy an SP? You can tell if it is, by looking in the trunk where those lights go in, look to see if there was any cutting that had been done to put those in. If it was not a sp there is one small piece of sheet metal that needed to be cut.

Ya, then its probably not. Kinda weird that it has those lights. But who knows. You can also tell by the channeling that comes down from the roof alongside the windshield. If it just stops then thats SP but if it goes to the bottom then thats another sign of non SP.
