Unhappy rx3 pic request...

ok as many of u may know i recently purchased a rx3, well i was lookin at it the other day and noticed that if u stand facing the engine bay from the side kneeling down, the top of the strut tower seems to be offset as compared to the other, now i've made some measurments from the center of the strut to the firewall, front support, and where the fender bolts to the body, and seems to look fine as far as the measurments are concenrned but my question is, is it suppose to look like that? does anyone have a pic that can confirm this please? i really dont wanna spend time and goobs of money at a frame shop lining it up

one is higher than the other.

thats why when you remove the suspension you will see a spacer on one of the struts and not the other.

most people collect the spacers chrome them and use them for covers ontop of the strut tower..

All of the US specs RX-3 that I worked on came with a set of 1/4 triangular spacers.

It's close. Let's call it well packaged.

Here's another WIP pic from the front. Sorry to just post old pics, but I don't feel like going outside.

The towers do look different.

Are you going to have to move your engine back to fit that radiator?

When I installed the engine (prior to my purchase), I didnt slot the front engine mounts. yes, the engine/tranny are pushed-back in. But at that time, I didnt have the aluminum radiator. Im not sure how much clearance I would have with it.

suspension spacers

hello all
my car had the triangular spacer on the drivers side only.
i left it out when i installed the ground control coilovers and RE camber plates!
should i installed the spacer?
I adjusted the the coils and the car looks pretty even.
Andres.

Looks like you have better clearance than mine. I have a radiator out of an RX-2 and put a fan in the front. Look at this. I don't think you will have issues....
