Rx2 with Vert wheels?

I'm looking for a picture with an Rx2 with 15" convertible wheels.

I really don't want to run 15's. But I want/need to run T2 brakes. I don't think 14's will clear the brakes either. But I do have a set of Vert wheels if I do go through with it. I'm just curious what they look like on an Rx2...?

I'm not home so i cant check but i think the rx7 convertible uses 14 wheels and the same brake system and the TII.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

verts had 15x6.5. 86,87,88 base models had 14's according to the faqs

Check out turbo_dave. IIRC, he redrilled a vert rim for one of his rx-2s.

Big Brake Swap

I am the guy who did the first swap of the 5 bolt turbo/convertible brakes to the FB , back in 2002. I described the swap in detail on the forum and within a couple of years kits appeared on the market using my design. All this is detailed with pictures on my web site, look at the V8 powered RX-7: stilettoman.info

The big brakes will not fit into 14 inch wheels, but in any case the big advantage to the swap was not just braking, but much improved cornering with the bigger wheels and tires. I highly recommend you just do the swap and bolt on the convertible wheels, which are genuine BBS alloys and are very light weight. They should fit with 205/50 series tires. I do not have an rX-2 strut here to look at, but it certainly can be done. If you don't have the fabrication skills to do this right, just don't do it.

I have the ability.

I'm only looking for pics of the car with the wheels to decide if I like the look. Or if another wheel choice would be better.

Still haven't found a pic with Vert wheels. I thought it would be a common thing.

I tried it many years ago,but I redrilled the wheels to 4x110.it looked ok but I didn't like how the wheels fit in the rear I'm guessing due to the offset, they were in there might have needed spacers.i never took pics because I took them off and just put a set of other wheels I had.
I do love how they fit on my 83 rx7 tho..which I do have pics of that.

The offset will hopefully be better for me. I have to take some measurements to be 100% sure. But it looks like it will be just right for me. I have a 1st gen rear in my Rx2 with small fender flares. So with the wider rear, normal wheels for the Rx2 stick out to far. But with the higher offset Vert wheels, it should set them just about right to sit flush with the flares. I really don't want to shorten the rear. But I HATE bad fitting wheels.
