Anyone see the new McDonalds commercial with the RX2 on it?

 

I am looking Todd, but I still have not seen it.

Hey, where do you live in Colorado?

 

I'm in Colorado Springs. The commercial was on MTV or VH1. The catch phrase is "gotta have it" or something like that. It shows a couple scenes of a yellow or orange RX2.

 

I saw it yesterday and got all excited, my family thinks I am nuts.

 

I only noticed it after reading this thread, it's hard to sit through the shitty ad let alone spot a car in it. The one in the ad is in darn good shape.

Yeah, I usually mute all the commercials when I'm watchin' TV, but after I thought I saw an RX2, I decided to let the sound play the next time the commercial came on.
What was I thinking?

 

Is it from a back view and the car is kind of shaking? I have seen that one and the car almost looked like an opel manta.

I've seen that commercial and as I've said the last time someone posted this, it's not an rx2 but more like an Opel Manta. They also had tail lights like the 2.

 

Just saw it again. It is an Opel.

Im gonna take a stab at this and say it is neither. I think it is a corvair.

I could have sworn it's an RX-2, they show the interior as well (steering wheel, etc) for a split second too. I don't watch TV often enough to see that ad again probably though 9which is good because evry time you see it your brain hurts).

What ever it is (Opel) it has a 1/4 vent window in the front of the doors - an rx2 does not.

Yeah, I don't think it's an RX2 either.
The last time I saw the commercial, I thought it looked more like a Corvair. But it could very well be an Opel Manta. BTW, the Opel Manta's rear roof line bears some resemblance to RX4 coupes, no?

And, If I down load the file it will take too damn long.

 

I've seen it 4 or 5 times now on TV and I'd swear that it's an R100.

Yep, its definately an Opel, if you look at the door handle, its a push button to open, and if you look at the driver door it has a small triangular window by the water channel. Looks pretty confusing if you don't pay attention to certain details.

 

....definately not a Corvair. I come from a Corvair familly.

Yes, it is definitely an Opel! When I was younger I had some sort of weird fixation with Opels, and for a while I was considering getting one! [wow i'm weird, huh]
Although we should be on the lookout for the older RX's! They are definitely rare! Was the 7 the first US production car with a wankel?
