Rx2

OK looking for ideas, I have a 1973 RX2 with a 1984 RX7 engine and transmission and rear dif, The problem is I still have the 2 piece driveshaft that came in the RX2, I have looked everywhere and I cant seem to find the Rubber piece that goes in between the joint of the 2 pieces, I have asked and seems the 1 piece RX7 driveshaft is too short and the local shop wants 400 to build me a new one. is there a way to fix the rubber or what are my options.

Thank you

I would consider spending the money for a one piece. Less headaches down the road. Pun intended.

thank you for all you guys help, I did some research and was able to repair the damaged rubber bushing. A friend of mine did it and it has been working fine for 5+ years and it cost me nothing, because I had rewards cash from AutoZone so I got it for FREE!!!!!. The extra 400 I can use it on some new tires...
