Cleaned up the diff and painted it tonight, went to put new inner and outer tie rods on but the thread sizes were smaller on the new ones.
Wil Sort that out tomorrow.

wheel clearance
I have a question for you. i have a similar build here in california and i was wondering what size wheels you will run. are you going to modify the frame at the footwells so you can run larger wheels?

Hey Amemiya, im using 15x7 Performance Superlites. They clear the JFZ calipers (only just) and with castor blocks and the adjustable struts the only clearance issues are with the outer guards where it just touches the base of the guard. but need to check once everything is bolted back on and she's sitting in her normal loaded rode height. The castor blocks pull the struts forward a few degrees to add castor and aid the tyre / rear inner guard clearance.
The fix for guard clearance is cut or mod the guard lips or fit flares if that suits.

thanks,i have cut the fenders and out fender flares. the wheels hit the frame at the outside corner of the footwell when i fully turn the wheel. i think hammering it in a bit will give me the clearance i hope, otherwise cut and weld i guess.

this is where i am talking about. the first pic shows where the tire is rubbing, the second pic is from the inside, to the left of the clutch pedal. if that section gets knocked in the tire should have more clearance. do you know of anyone who has done this on their rx3?

Removed the gear box mounts today, usually a really shitty job, but because they had been moved before and remounted it was just a shitty job. Awkward to get around them as the car is on axle stands. But I've had worse jobs.
Then got the exhaust on (almost) will need some slight firewall mods (read as big hammer) but nearly there.
Radiator in without any issues.
