Spent yesterday at the track ( Hampton Downs ).. Our club had a meet .. Dramatic day one of the Sa22s cracked a rear plate and dumped oil all around the track then a few cars slid off... and in the same race one if the FDs had a small engine fire ... Now that created a bit of panic.
All ok though and no major damage .. The driver was a bit freaked out.
The FDs are quick and turbo sa22s not too far behind
No Rx2s or Rx3s racing in this class so mine will be the first.
A bit painful watching the racing and not being out there racing .. But got to take my Rx-8 for a nice long drive.

Looking great. Originally from the shore myself. Used to enjoy gathering at the Takapuna boat ramp on a Wednesday night, then heading out to Albany for some burnouts and a bit of racing. Like your updates.

Hey everyone, 2nd cost of 2 pak primer today, and I have been priming all the bolt on panels which are all fiberglass. Its all about power to weight man.
So next i have to prep the doors and block everything back with 800 grit wet
There are a couple of pictures of my '04 Rx-8 as well for good measure
Hope you guys are having a good weekend
Cheers

For the love of god, when will the prep work finish! !!
All the putty work went great and its looking pretty straight, the bonnet/hood came up well. A good nights work.
Looks like the colo(u)r coats going on this weekend will be a reality.
**excite**
I wish I had your patience mr riverseine, im in awe of your detail work and supreme camerawork - whens the next episode mate?

So I got sick over the long weekend we had here, so that sucked ***. End result was not much done.
Spent a few hours last night prepping the doors... a bit of work to do there
And test fit doors ...
Finished the fibreglass guards
I'm eager to get the painting started but trying to be patient and finish all the little time consuming jobs which will all add up to a great result in the end
