RX-3 insurance?

Hey guys. I've always absolutely loved RX-3's, but I'm wondering how much insurance would cost for a 16 year old. I'm guessing they're insured as sports cars, even though they're available in 2 door, 4 door and wagon configurations.

The insurance company looks at it as a sedan. Back when I was 16 I paid the same for my 2's and 3's as I did a s10 truck I had.

Im 19 and insurance on mine is really cheap. Its much cheaper than a second gen. I get multiple car dicsount also. But for me i think normally it would be about $60/month. My friends pay 100 or more on FCs, depending on if they are turbo or not.

RX3s are pretty cheap to insure as the insurance companies just look at them as being an old Jap sedan.
I pay about $200/year for liability with high limits.
The problem comes when someone hits you and the insurance companies only value them at an insanely low price.

its just a liability insurance. So it doesnt matter if its sedan, sports car etc etc. But again, age, zip code matters especially in Socal. In about 2 yrs, my son will be driving my cars and his first car is either my 1st or 2nd gen. RX-3? I have plenty of time to think about it. But either way, he aint driving a stock motor.....It will be ported...I wonder if he can keep up with his old man.
