RX-3 brake line routing
Anyone around that can shed some light on what lines go where @ the proportioning valve?
This is on a 73 RX-3 coupe. Trying to figure out my weird braking issue, I'm thinking the previous owner put a line in the wrong spot, and it appears they put a line lock on, but one line goes to a front and one to a rear. Doesn't make any sense. I'm going to try bypassing the line lock but want to make sure the lines are correct.
So if anyone has a 73 RX-3 handy and can check out the routing I'd appreciate it. or any reference on the net somewhere? I've done a few searches but haven't come up with anything.
Thanks,
Mike

Aha! we guessed right! heh.. thanks, he did have them backwards.. had the two top lines reversed, so the line for the rears was next to that side front line and the 2nd front was were the rear should go. We changed 'em around and bled her..
turns out my problem is the booster. I was trying to isolate it to either the booster or the master cylinder ('cause we were running out of ideas -- after bleeding several times it was the same), so I unhooked the booster line and plugged it. Now the brakes are super firm, although it is harder to stop I can hit them super hard without it going to the floor. With the booster hooked up the pedal will hit the floor and the car sorta 'coasts' to a stop.
so, yeah.. time to order a booster.
thanks again,
Mike
