rotor coating?

anybody had some experience with this?

Its a thermal barrier. Its great for piston engines that can survive super high egt's and ping. But for 95%(at least) of the rotary population it would be a waste of good money. I have never personally seen a melted rotor; the apex seals give way long before such extreme abuse.

The theory behind coating a rotor isnt to keep the rotor from melting. Its supposed to keep the heat out of the rotor and oil and send it out the exhaust. Whether it is effective or not who knows, I dont know if anybody has actually done a good test on it yet.
