Rotary Fiero?

Well, it makes sense, but it's too late, the deed is done! I feel a lot better, because everything looks pretty good wear wise, just a little crusty. I'll be inspecting things thoroughly, but I don't think I'll need much besides gaskets and rubber seals, mostly just cleanup.
This wasn't supposed to be a rebuild thread though. I need to be figuring out how to adapt the motor to a Fiero transaxle and get the exhaust past the right axle. Now that I've seen a center housing, I can see that tilting the engine very much is out.
The 12A flywheel is slightly smaller, which is a good thing, but starter mounting may be a problem. I'm not clear on how the automatic trannies mount the starter. (on top?) The '93 manual I downloaded looks different than my rear housing, I'm downloading the electrical section of an '80 manual now.
Lateral mounting sure would solve a lot of problems.
