REPU w/turbo?

Hey guys,

I'm not really old school rotary edumucated but I just might be picking one up. I've found a really straight, relatively rust free REPU. Someone has put a "Pinto" motor in it, so the original is long gone. The truck looks like it has been sitting under a tree for a few years but the body is straight, even the rear bumper looks OK.

I just so happen to have a complete 13B-REW engine, trans, etc that I'd like to put in it. Is there enough room width wise to fit in the REPU engine bay?

Thanks for any tips you guys might have. Is there a LSD available for the REPU? Brake upgrades, etc?

Thanks,
Jeff

Well repu did come with 13bs stock, so I don’t see why a 13b-rew wouldn't be able to fit. You might have to change it over to have it be able to bolt in front, and not from the sides. But other then that, I don’t see what you would have to do. But I am not a repu pro here; I also just picked up a rotary pick so I am new to them, and the whole rotary thing.

Hope some of that helps.

I'm working on a 13bt jspec. fit was just fine with stock turbo and stuff. Instead of changing the front cover and pan thing, I used the motor mount pads on the frame that the ford motor must sit on. these line up pretty good with the mounts on the bt motor, angles are a little different but a wedge shaped alumiun plate took care of that. without the front motor stuff in the way this gave me room to move the radiator back and mount a couple of stock intercoolers and electric fan. Had to relocate the oilcooler abit. the stock rear tranny mount needed minor mod to get it to fit the 13bt tranny. If there's a demand for pix I'll post some.

Yep, the REPU has two sets of pads. The front set are obviously used for the early engines, but the other further rearward set can be used.
