Thanks, your truck is looking sweet!
Thanks, yea the brakes will be done with the FD IRS install. I will find out for sure if my brakes are up the the task next weekend at a national solo autocross that is supposed to be a pretty big course. Yep, not many REPUs made it to Arkansas. It always seems to catch peoples attention for one reason or another. Had the spacers made for the FD differential, cant wait to see what this truck can do not that it should hookup better. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...ps9e6ca2bc.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...psb1dcfe98.jpg Also put the finishing touches on the side mount alternator bracket. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...psb9ae0f74.jpg |
I hate my open diff, an LSD would be great.

I should be putting a welded diff in soon, when I do I will take all the measurements for the spacers. The only difference is that this is a 4.36 rearend and am not sure if the same simple spacer would work for the non-auto rearends. I have been pretty surprised I have not blown the torsen yet with the way I drive.

Welded diff for the win, I see more drifting in your future.
|
yep, a little drifting and some launching at the strip on slicks.

Love the truck man, I used to have a big single turbo FD and recently got a REPU myself, looking to do an REW swap in the future.
I've read this thread multiple times, love it, had a few quick questions I was wondering about that might help me with my build: Have you upgraded the brakes at all? I was thinking of a way to adapt FD calipers to the front but increasing rotor size with the 6-lug might be an issue, and I really don't want to switch to 5-lug conversion. Also, the rear drums have to go! Any ideas here? I noticed you used a GSLSE front cover for the REW, anything else special for the swap? Did you run the FD 5-speed too and if yes, did you need to modify the driveshaft? Thanks man! |
Turbo manifold?
What turbo manifold are you running?
