Reading Odometer on RX2

Hey!! I need some help Guys!! I just bought myself another Deuce my question is....My Odometer reads 03285 the person i bought the car from tells me the milage is 103,285 has anyone who owns an ole skoolie had there odometer go over 100,000? And, when it did go over 100k what would happen? I'm trying to figure out how I would know for sure if the mileage is maybe only 3,285.The title which comes from the Original Owner does not have the Odometer reading typed in? Makes no sense as I know here in NY it Automatically shows up on the Title. And yes I'll post pics as soon as the car Arrives which will be in about 10 Days

Umm...the 1st number just goes back to 0.

My friend has an early 70's BMW 2002 and it has a 5 digit odometer. It reads like 70,000 something now but actually has 170,000.

You didn't just pick up another S3, did you? Most cars have rolled over by now. They weren't terribly reliable, but those that are left have been kept alive, usually on 2 or 3 motors, so 1xx,xxx or 2xx,xxx miles isn't uncommon by now.
