rebuilt the carb and it runs smooth with gas down the carb, still not getting fuel through the carb.

Have you changed the fuel filter, and got the old gas out of the tank, have you tested the pump for operaton

yea i did all that. me and scott put a 44 mikuni on the other day and it fired up great so it was a problem with the old carb. motor runs good, now all i need to do is rig up some cables and she'll be on the street. cant wait for the maiden voyage!

I'd try some cleaner-wax (I like Meguiar's) or rubbing compound by hand first. It looks like it has a pretty good layer of oxidation that needs to be removed.

hit it with a clay bar then compound buf,f should help pull the oxidation up
