Old school Rx wheels

I was surfing and found somebody selling a set of dealer installed rims for Rx-2 and Rx-3.

I use to have a brocure that had these units on both model cars. Does anybody remember the ad I am talking about.

eBay Old school rim auction.

The center caps said Mazda on them and they were chrome plated plastic.

I was looking at those, but where the hell are you going to find a decent 13"x4.5" tire?

You could run a 175/70/13 on 'em.

He found them in his warehouse and knows nothing about them but says they're older Mazda wheels with 4x110 pattern. The only wheels that I know of from the factory on the early rotarys were the stamped steel ones. I've had several 3's and 4's and they all had steel wheels.

Like I said in my orginal post these were dealer installed rims. I had a set on my Rx-2 with Mazda center caps.

From the factory you got steel wheels with hub caps or painted steel wheels with the rally trim package (beauty rings and chrome center caps).

I will dig up a old dealer brocure/ factory ad if you want to lay out some money.

Old Mazda brochure

Hey, I decided to bust out the brochures. I have them from 1972 thru 1974, all of them show off the aluminum 4 spoke wheels on both Rx-2 and Rx-3.
The 1974 Rx-4 was sporting aluminum spoke/mesh wheels.

Hmmm...If the spokes were concave instead of convex I think they would look cool. Unfortunately, they're kinda dorky looking as they are. I'll stick with my Libres and ?Unidentifiables?.
