Question ok all you evil geniuses

I do not have any spark. 1974 rx3 rotary wagon. When I put the battery in , everything woke up , after ten years of sitting. the starter works, the engine turns over, the radio works, but no spark. this car has a single two layer dizzy. Two coils, and two sets of points. the points are clean , the condensers are there, How does one check coils??? The plugs have been cleaned and gapped, Any really good Ideas are welcome. I think I am overlooking something.

OK that sounds good and if there is power there then what does he do, sounds like a clif hanger, so can I pick it up from here, useing a test lite both sides of the coil will be hot with that coil's points open, closed the + side will dem just a little and the - side no lite, if there is lite on both sides of the coil with the points closed then that means the points are not grounding out the cercut, points could be rusted over, ground lead my not be grounding
