It's hard to find good 4-port 13B motors these days.
You might try to get a jap-spec 4-port 13B from an importer.

Sorry I'm not much help, but I figured a lame response was better than nothin'.

No, they had cars in Japan more recently that used old-style carbureted 4-port 13B motors with a few updates like nitrided side and center housings. They aren't street-ported, though. Anyway, there were engine importers that would get them from time to time at a pretty reasonable price.

I've got a streetport (intake only) 13B from a 76 Cosmo. It NEEDS a rebuild. Let me know if interested. Otherwise, it goes in my car.

The stock side plates of a '74 REPU have 3B cast into them. The JDM 13Bs out of Luces and what-not are nitrided and have R5 cast into them in the same places.

R5 engines don't have an oil pressure sender hole under the oil filter.

Im going to put a new motor in the blue auto one and change it over to a 5-speed and take the rear out of the 4-speed one and some more parts and sell that one. the blue one sits in my garage so kinda hard to take pics but i have some old ones and the white one is out back, its straights and everythings there but i dont need two trucks

rx for your 7 has a 4 port 13b for sale somewhere on this page. Price actually looks pretty decent at $2600.

I'd rebuild the newer six port if I were you. I would offer to buy your older 4port core if you like? Also I would love to buy your truck but I am on the East coast.

I have seen both rotor housings and side housings for the older 4-port 13b on ebay recently. I remember prices getting up there but not meeing reserve last I saw of them, maybe they arent sold and will be back up some time.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep an eye out. I usually search "repu" and "mazda rotary" Any other suggested searches?

Have good running REPU

And I'm just starting a TII conversion on it. The motor is a street ported 13B (original motor) and a 4 sp trans from an early Rx7 (disclaimer: previous owner told me this).
My J-Spec (S5 I think but still trying to figure it out for sure) arrived yesterday and I need to figure out what parts I need to swap from the current engine to the new one. Front cover and oil pan are all I've figured so far. After that I was going to put the 13B and trans on ebay. If you're interested let me know. I'm in West Los Angeles.
