the rockers, sills and underneath were very solid... there was a little rust in the floors and ofcourse the trunk and around the front/rear glass.. other than that it was really a pretty solid car to start with

ok guys... were moving foward a little now... i will get some pics up later this week... does anyone know anybody who has molded carpet for an rx3 in the states? im scared of that one on ebay in case i need to return it or something. Also weather stripping? the one from Phils looks great but its a bit pricey.. has anyone used this kit? thanks in advance for any input
ok guys, It seems like everyone is sharing there projects so i thought i would share mine. I found the car in Georgia after the previous owner passed away. the widow left the car sitting in the front yard for 9 years before i rescued it.. I have had it for about 7 years just mostly sitting in my garage collecting dust.. i did a few things here and there to the engine like adding a MSD 6a and going direct fire and changing the carb a couple times...but nothing really major, but a couple months ago i found a body shop and rolled the dice... it is still in the shop but i will share the pics so far... i hope you enjoy!!! these pics are just before the trip to the body shop
If you dont mind me asking, what did the body shop charge for that? I have one going in soon and curious what its going to run me..

carpet: my interiors have been completely redone (seats, carpet, headliner, dash and rear) for approx $1200 but the dash I have to install.
door seals around the doors: I used FC seals and it just needs a little trimming in the bottom since FC doors are larger.
black window trims for doors and quater windows: 79-85
no more pictures for now, after bare metal the car had all rust cut and new metal was fabed and welded in. all dents removed with hammer and dolly. then it was sprayed with epoxy primer.. the black stuff is a type of truck bed liner, works really well in trunks and floors
