my 73 rx2 4door. . .
alright, i recently acquired a 1973 rx2 sedan. got it for $75!!!
the body is in BAAAD shape and will more than likely need replacement fenders in the front, the rest is gonna have to be hacked and reworked. . . . totally. hehe. the interior is in GREAT condition. i figured for $75 id be getting something gutted or whatever. . . but thats not the case, im pretty sure i have a car that can be restored. . . successfully. it has a 12a twin-dizzy in it. which is cool, i have to say. . . though, research says get it swapped for a single dizzy.
the car has 495,000 miles on it!!!! WHOA!!! hahaha, based on what the previous owner says, i think i MAY be able to start it up if i can get the carburetor to work properly. i cant find a rebuild kit for it, though. does anybody know where to get it? the advance auto shop out here says its not in stock. can i use a 1st gen kit? i know a lot of NOTHING when it comes to carbs. . . guess im just too young.
anyways, id love to just get this thing running. . . even if its crappily running. . . just so i can move it for the time being.
any help would be great. . .
paul
p.s. i dont have any pics of it right now cause my computer wont allow me to post them. . . so, once i can get that squared away, ill post them up.

You absolutely can't use an RX-7 kit. That's a Nikki carb in the 7, compared with the Mikuni-Solex/Hitachi/Nikki (different) carbs that made their ways through the Hiroshima plant.
