My 1973 RX2
and I can't drive it, because its to damn cold. More pics to come when it warms up.
She needs a new transmission, rear end housing, shocks and springs. I am getting an 83 or 84 GSL parts car this week to take care of the bigger items.
It has a street ported 12A, rear disc conversion, rear end out of an 83 GSL, currently has a 79 RX4 transmission in it, but its grinding into second gear. It was built as an autocross car to begin with and thats what I will continue to do with it. Eventually the 13B out of the parts car will be rebuilt and put in this car. It will be painted, not sure what color but something thats all one color because I'm not really into the rainbow paint. But it was to good of a deal to pass up.

but yeah take off the crazy badges and please dear lord repaint it. That looks HORRIBLE. I mean bad. I would run and buy spray paint and paint over that mess before driving it around its so bad. ugh.

The car is really straight, some rust on the floor of the trunk. Nothing a little POR can't fix. Its going to have to stay yellow and red for a couple more years. I am thinking black. I have been known for black cars around here anyway. Its my first ever rotary and my first carb on anything, so its going to be fun to learn. She came with spares too. Tie rod ends are sitting in the box ready to go in when ever they are needed.

Yeah I got her for a steal too. The guy that sold it to me got offers from overseas, but he really wanted to keep it local. I'm glad he did to, because this is going to be a fun car. I got spare parts to go with it too. The tie rod ends are worth their weight in gold right now, and I got a brand new set, still in the box with the car. I really can't wait to dig into this car a little.

dude the color alone is one in a million...You plan on changing the color? I say stay with the color...lol...so besides the fact that it has a 12a in it...what other mods does it have? Kinda hard to tell from the pics...I see a little carb setup, and intake...does it have motor work?

Its a Webber 44 id carb. Not sure what intake is on it. The motor does have a street port done. Not sure how aggressive it is, but it sounds damn good when it runs. There is a 3 muffler exhaust, to keep the "Beast" quiet. From the words of the previous owner. There is a cut out before the last muffler to. Waiting for the first race of the season to pull that off to see how she sounds.

Its not getting painted any time soon. For this year I am going to make sure she is race ready. Newer transmission, one that does not grind going into 2nd gear. A rearend housing, because the one on it leaks. New springs and shocks. A set of tires for autocrossing.
In the next couple of years I'll repaint it. Probably black. Eventually a fuel injected 13B. So we will see.
