Question Looking for a Oilpan -- 13b into a RX 2

Hello,

I am putting a series 4 turbo motor into my 72 RX 2.

I think a 13b GSL SE pan will work if I flip it around right?

Does anybody know for sure what oilpan I can use to get this motor into my car?

Anybody have a oilpan that, they are willing to sell, that will work with this conversion?

If so let me know.

David

yes. a 5 letter oil pan WILL work. holes will not line up, but not to worry. also will have to do some modification to the oil pick-up.
are you using a 12a front cover?

Okay. I will figure out how to do the mod to the pickup, once I get the pan.

I knew that the holes would not line up-- nothing that a drill wont take care of.

I got a front cover off of a 85 GSL SE. The thought was, I would be able to use the turbo metering pump with this cover. (I do not want to run premix).

I was also told that I may need a different motor mount. Stock one is quite difficult to use? I am not sure about this. So that quest will be next.

Anyways....If anyone has that oilpan, or info on the motor mount I am interested.

Contact me.

Thumbs up

Cool....Thanks.

I will definetly take you up on that offer.

This is a new adventure for me, as I have never done an extenstive restoration of any type before. I guess you could call me green

I have always wanted a kick *** RX 2 for as long as I can remember, and I told myself that one day, when I had the cash, I would do a build like this. So, here I am.

I am learning as I go, and am truly grateful for a site like this. What a resource!!!

Thanks

Okay,

I found a guy who has a RX 4 oilpan, and a RX 4 pickup.

I think that this will work the same as the GSL SE oilpan, right?
