looking into purchasing a 72 Rx2..input needed

Im going to look at a 72 Rx2 that a friend has in storage. The car was a part of a repo'd home, so he knows very little about the car and its history, not even sure if the car runs. Tomorrow I Plan on taking a look at the car. My question is there key areas i should look at the car to determine whether this will be a good buy or not? What price range do these cars usually go for? I understand there are too many possibilities determining the condition of the car, but just trying to get a idea for tomorrow..I'll post pictures from tomorrow's visit if needed.

Thanks

Greg

originality is key in these cars now, inspect it thoroughly for any type of rust.average prices range from $1k and up depending on the sellers knowledge.good luck!post pix!

4k is pretty pricey for someone who claims to not know much about the car...

Depending on the condition it could very well be worth every bit of 4K. If its all original and has been inside storage for several years then it could be in very nice condition. Just need the pics and know if it will start.

Look for rust EVERYWERE!!! common places are under the windshield, the rear glass, and the trunk floor. post pics of the car when you can so we can get a better idea of value but if its all solid and all complete its worth 3 grand easy, at least over here in the east coast, I'm not sure for how much they go for on the west coast seeing as there more common ever there.
