how strong is an rx2 rear?

how strong is an rx2 rear?

i want to port my twin dizzy a good size street port that i will be able to use the stock carb....but would the rear handle it?

It depends on if you are going to drag race the car. If you use slicks or even street slicks and launch at high rpm's you will snap an axle. I just did this two weeks ago on my 12a bridgeport using Falcon furion tires with 20psi and launching at 6000rpms'. Run street tires with a tire pressure around 32 psi and you will not have any problems. As long as the tires slip a little and then bite you can get by.
