FC Rod Millen pics

I apollogise for the low quality of these pics:

I was 15 when I snapped them but I thought you may enjoy. This was a local rally in Arkansas ('86 if you noticed) and, being a 15 y.o. and a Millen fan, I was clinging to him like a... 15 y.o.

I was there to assist my friend in his earlier Millen rx-7 (2WD) but was too obcessed with my hero to be of any real assistance.

Rod was always my hero and that weekend was probably the best to meet him as it wouldn't be too strenuous due to it being a low profile event. I'll never forget sitting next to him as he grooved his own tires while I questioned him, he took it all in stride and, as I remember he was giggling as I interviewed him. Just Rod and I, that was fun!

Ahhh, just reminiscing.

Also, that weekend, there was a T16 I also have great pics of. I'll try to post if you care.

Awesome to have more pics of this car.

I made a thread about his awd car a while back with some pics: https://www.rx7club.com/lounge-192/so-who-owns-millens-awd-fc-now-540149/

Thumbs up

Nice to see someone else has interest in this piece of history!

Can't remember if the AWD system was based on 323 GT AWD. But it was based on a Mazda system of that era... I know. There is a pic showing the layout somewhere(had the components layed out on the floor). However, I think the pic shows the layout of the FB AWD and not the FC system (they may be the same).

I never saw your thread. I hate seeing it in pieces. I only remember it as a functional badass!

Did you notice in my post that my friend has one of his original 2wd FBs?

When my friend had that engine apart I did my best to make a port template (not the best obviously but they were the S#!t at the time[my templates and the ports]). Still have it somewhere.
