fb rx7 lsd into rx3 diff

First time posting in this section, I am looking for info for a friend. What does it take to bolt up a fb LSD into a rx3? does the axles have to be shortened? is it a direct bolt in? Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks,

Alvin

use small axle LSD (pre-83). no need to shorten the axle. While his at it, tell him to convert it to rear disc brake and buy the bracket from Billy

Hey guys,

I just popped in to research putting an FB axle from disk to disk in my '73 Rx3. I figured I would just grind off the mounts and weld on leaf spring and shock mounts where the Rx3 wants them.

Then I started wondering if they are the same width?

Anyone know?? My wheels already rub the lip in my quarter panels so I can't afford even a millimeter.
