FB rear end too wide for Rx3

I was planning on putting the rear end from a GSL for disk brakes... into my rx3. After some research I found that the track on an FB is 55.1" an the Rx3 is 51".

Back to the drawing board...

check respeed.com. i think the kit they offer bolts to the stock rx3 axle housing and using gsl axles by shaving a little off the spline end of the axle to shorten them.

He can install it but you will need to add a fender flare to compensate for the 2" difference on each side plus the right rims/backspace. I thought about that idea years but it didnt work for my needs

thats a quick easy fix. shorten the ends before the mounting brackets on the housing and get the axels shorten as well. machine work shouldn't be to expensive, thats to do the job right.
