Eric Keyes' "Revvity" RX3 SP, anyone know anything about this car?

I was browsing through the September 1998 issue of Turbo magazine today (don't ask me why) and came across this car. It is talked about in the SIR Import Challenge Round 2 article, page 54. In the times chart his car ran a 12.197 @ 111.97 MPH. Then he lost in the King Of The Hill competition to a 16 second Honda. Anyone ever heard of this car? Here's a pic from the magazine:

The text under the picture reads:
Favored Eric Keyes and his "Revvity" twin-rotor Mazda took the victory in Bracket 1 laying down a 12.19 at 111.97 mph. Unfortunately, he lost in the King Of The Hill competition to a slower car.

No I dont know the guy or vary much about the car, I will say that its a really cool car, i dont think SP's came in white so i think he had the decals reproduced. Also I really like the rear wheels, they look like they are cool, too bad we dont have a better view.
A freind of mine went to SIR drags a few years back and may have been at that one. All I know is that he shot a lot of video and he also had some video of a white RX3, I dont think it was that one though because the one in his vid ran a mid 10 and sounded monsterous so im pretty sure it was all motor. the reason why its probably ran so fast all motor was because it was hella light, the guys running now have to be 2160, the guy in the vid was probably a lot lighter.

The car is cool though. a Cosmo 110a like they have would be so fun to have.
