engine mount swap

Hi all,
I have a TII motor that i want to swap to front mount. My understanding is that i need a different oil pan and front cover. Is that correct?
If so, in addition to the above parts, what else do i need? gaskets, etc...
BTW, if you happen to have the above mentioned parts laying around, my email is ebrahimi@speakeasy.net

Thanks,
Mazda

First thing do you have an 86-88 or 89-91 engine? There will be many little differances to swap either one to front cover mount. If you have an 86-88 engine the first thing you will need a GSL-SE front cover. It fits the TII engine with no problems and because its off the GSL-SE you can use the same OMP and rod from the TII. Also there is an empty hole already in the cover to be drilled out for the oil return line from the turbo to be attached to. Next you will need a GSL-SE oil pan because the new cover will make the entire engine longer so the stock pan will not fit that also means you will need the pan gasket from a GSL-SE or run no gasket and use RTV. You also need the oil pick up tube from a 1st gen RX-7 13b or 12a either one will work with the GSL-SE oil pan. If you are putting this engine in a car other than a 1st gen RX-7 you might need a different pan and pick up fabricated because the sump is on the front of the pan. You also need a front cover gasket for this you should get the one for your year engine not the GSL-SE. All that is for the 86-88 engine. For the 89-91 there are more things to modify ill list them if you have an 89 to 91 engine. Hope that helps.
