Engine conversion
My 2001 Miata now 118,000+ miles on it and has some clutch chatter. I would like to replace the engine with a RX-7 or RX-8. Is this possible and will my 6 speed tranny bolt to a rotary? I confess to knowing very little about the rotary engine mount points, weights, dimensions, ect. Any suggestions? Has this been done by any of the members? Thanks. EJLIMA

that would be an amazing miata. I don't know if the engine will fit. It won't be a direct swap. I remember reading somewhere on this forum about someone who put a miata transmission in an fc, so I guess your tranny should fit. sorry i'm not much help. maybe more knowledgable people will come along an give you some useful info
try searching for rotary miata, and see if anything comes up.

Terrified.
Mmmm I have a dream to someday build a 13b powered Miata. Even if it is NA. Of course I would probably sell it seeing as how I'm not too fond of verts, but man that would be one hell of a mean car.
