Does anyone know if you can put a GSL rear axle on an RX-4?

I know where I can get a GSL rear axle with discs and an LSD for free if I haul it. Can it go on my RX-4?

Man I'm so clueless.

Basically, No. I have talked with several people and you can't do it very easily. It is actually cheaper to put a 9" or 8.8 for rear end under there. Besides the GSL rear end wouldn't be very strong. Here's my plan. For now I cannot afford that kinda thing. So I have decided to take the drums and axels out of the car and have them drilled for GSL-SE bolt pattern. Then get the GSL-SE front brake setup and install that. Then you have a wider selection of wheels.

Is the front brake setup from the GSL-SE a bolt on proposition? I was wondering if there were any options for different front brakes, since those discs on the RX-4 look kinda chintzy to me.

Yes they are a bolt on. I haven't done it yet so I don't know if the spindle needs to be changed also. Xtreme Performance has 13 rotor and dual piston upgrades for the 4x110 bolt pattern, but it costs more than the gsl-se conversion.

what year Rx-4? do you mean a Cosmo? i have a 76 Cosmo (13B) in need of some new wiring. (all the wires by the battery/coils are gone/fried)

anyone know where i can find a wiring diagram? i have looked at a 'chiltons repair book' for it, but no diagrams in it!

I am unsure that the GSL-SE brakes will fit a cosmo. The best way to get wiring diagrams is to get a Mazda factory manual. That's what i did.
