vents

Of course Mazda no longer carries them in parts but I got mine though our friends down under in Aussie land and they where like new(good weather). I sent my dash to Just Dashes and a 5 bill and I got a nice dash back but expensive.

Wow...I've never seen an Rx2 dash like that..that raised center console looks pretty trick. Is that a '74 model dash?

My dash is exactly like yours, man. Yeah, those of us with 74s run into a lot of odd parts that you wouldn't otherwise think of. The interior's pretty different, from the console, dash, cluster, even door panels. Not to mention the screwed up bumpers and rear valence we got. BTW, Hullie, I've given up finding a rear valence, so I'm just painting the sheetmetal black, filling the reflector holes, and frenching the signals so they mount inside rather than outside. S3 RX-2s are a headache, guys.

Hey Crit,
What a bitch it was removing the Dash!! But, it's out & now I have to search for These Friggin Defroster Air Vents. So far I have had three people Tell me the same thing. When you go to remove them they are so Dry Rotted that they just crumble.Hopin one of My Aussie buddies can hook me up! Shoot me some pics of the Valence when your done with it.If you want to see the dash completely remove the pics are up on my site!

Are you goin to Rotary Revolution? Is anyone from this Forum for that Matter?

Umm the fact that i never removed a dash before maybe? I could take yours out in 15 Minutes though now that i know how! I didn't realize how much other stuff you need to remove before you can actually take out the dash. The toughest screw to find was the one hidden in the middle of The Clock/Radio Facia.Look for that one 1st after that it's smooth sailing! oh yeah and when your taking out the dash remove it VERY GENTLY.I on the other hand decided to manhandle it at 1st & wound up w/ even more cracks in the leather, pleather, vinyl whatever the hell it's made of! I'm having it Professionally Restored i'm not even gonna attempt to F with it.

Good Luck & Let me know how it goes!
