Do I to pound a bump?

When I put a 5 speed into my Rx2 I had to pound a bump into the tunnel to make the starter fit.

Will I need to pound a bump into the tunnel to put a 5 speed into an Rx3?

Thanks

no the rx3 has much more room.
what 5 speed did you put in your rx2?
I am thinking of putting a rx5 cosmo 5 speed so the
shifter is in the right place.
was there any clearance problems with the clutch slave
in your rx2?
if you could please remark on your experience in this
thread, i have been saying that the bottom starter will
not fit in a rx2 without hammering the tunnel.

i did have to use a scissor jack to spread the tunnel for a 5spd in a 73 rx3 i once had, but not the 75 i have now.

I have an RX-2 that originally had an automatic in it, and when I put the 84 5 spd, I had no clearance problems at all - everything fits just fine.
