curious of the potential of an rx2 as a track car

lately my father has been somewhat getting back into rotaries as i mention to him that there are still quite a few classic rx2's around, he used to own an rx2 and it was the first car he had ever bought brand new. he's now entertaining the idea of making a track car of one and im just curious what most of the sucessful track cars have done to them? for the motor he would like to just do something like a 13bt from a 2nd gen rx7 or possibly a 20b it hasn't been decided. but suspension wise what are the options that people are doing? he would still like this to be street legal and it will be running autox and track days most of the time.

they're light and have a decent suspension although the panhard rod is a little short.

parts are so hard to come by........but bushings and tie rods can be had from australia.

How much money you got?

They are not the greatest handler's but if you have someone with fab skills you can work out some of the issues. The real problem is that the track is too short, and the car's center of gravity is too high.

Fender flares for (much) wider wheels to increase track, Longer panhard bar, Longer upper control arms, or 3-link in back. new bushings, tie rods, ball joints. That should get you started
