Check out this Mazda Book

Bought this book "Mazda Motorsports" about 10 years ago from Motorbooks International. It is excellent with the first 7 chapters devoted to the early rotaries in motorsports. R100, RX2 and especially Rx-3 models are covered with loads of great vintage photos of the cars in competition. It may be still available from Motorbooks International but probably can be picked up on ebay or used book store.

You guys know about interlibrary loan requests, don't you?
You put in a request for the book you want, and if another library has it and is willing to loan it, they send it to your local library for a small fee. Here in Springfield, the fee used to be a buck, but it recently shot up to 3 dollars. Still a deal, though. I got that Mazda Motorsports book and another by John Matras (the title escapes me at the moment) and both books came from the Tigard public library. I've gotten books from as far away as Oklahoma.

Is that other John Matras book called RX7 or something? With a pic of a Red FD on the front?

Cool looking book. There is an awesome rotaries downunder book about rx racers in NZ too. It is a very good book.

Ooops, I see re10 had beaten me to it on this post. Good to see that link here rotaries are amazingly popular in NZ - just remember Steve ans Rod Millen are kiwi (New Zealanders) drivers!

I think it's called "Mazda collector's guide" or something like that. It had a lot of pre-RX7 rotary car info.
I don't think it was the one with the red FD on the cover, though I've seen that book also.
