Carbon Fiber RX-2 hoods - BUYER LIST

Carbon Fiber RX-2 hoods - BUYER LIST
Well, seems that a few of the old school guys (mostly Teddy ) really want a carbon fiber hood for the RX2's. The old thread is a mess so here is the new one.
I am going to try to have my connection get these hoods made for us. Please know that I AM NOT A VENDOR. Just another enthusiast with some good resources and if we all come together on this we can make it happen.
Prices would be in the $450-500 range, we need at least six buyers, and the hoods would probably need to be pre-paid or at the very least a decent deposit would have to be taken.
Please add your name to the list if you are SERIOUS about purchasing a RX-2 carbon fiber hood. I will start the list off with myself since I want on too. Please include your username, real name, and regular email address.
Thanks and let's get this going once an for all!

BTW: just spoke to them this morning. They are currently having molds made for RX3 hood in carbon plus other misc pieces for the RX-3. I was just calling to see if they were interested in doing these for our RX2's (nice coincidence) so it seems this would be right up their alley as long as the first batch can be sold.
Also, this is located in California so shipping would be mutch better than coming from overseas.

So only carbon fiber? No fiberglass option? If not, no big deal. I'm also possibly interested in a RX3 hood.
thanks,
Mike

Thanks, but I already replied to him about the RX-3 carbon hoods being made here in California. Please don't jump in on my Kool Aid again.
You are the same guy on ausrotary.com who tried selling carbon dropvent FC3S hoods in Australia all the while posting pictures of my friend's car here in Cali. That was VERY misleading. If you have a problem with me calling you on that, PM me (like I did). In the meantime solicit your business on your own thread.
BOT: Prices will be reasonable since these are produced locally and anyone willing to drive to SoCal can pick them up to save on shipping expense if they would like.
Thanks,
Vince

Smeagol, check your PM's.
We could always do a NorCal to SoCal run for these hoods if we get some of the NorCal old school guys together.
I have a Tacoma and a REPU but don't feel like taking the REPU over the Grapevine until it gets a heart transplant and a ton of other little things... like good seatbelts. I don't mind the 800 mile cross-trip journey as long as somebody can chip in for gas and In-N-Out.

See you on ausrotary.com 13BEEF, and if there is anything hard to source here in the states I'll look you up. Some of your mates in Oz have already shipped stuff to me from your forum over there. Great bunch of guys and a place I really want to visit while I can still enjoy it!

^Sorry to hear that. SUCKS for sure. Yes, I also was screwed on a GB for a AE86 dropvent hood about 3-4 years ago my some idiot. Never even got my money back. If I ever find you, Tung Nguyen you better see me before I see you. That's okay though, life has a funny way of catching up with shadey people.

-Let's keep it rolling... I'm making a 800 mile round-trip visit in person this weekend to help make this a reality. Well, I might be visiting some friends while I'm at it. I'll see if I can get any sneek-previews of what's going on though.

That would be great, but don't stress about if if it can't happen. Unfortunately there aren't many of us old schoolers out here, at least that I've seen. I know of only 2 other guys with RX-2s in this area, and I've never seen another RX-3. I will mention this GB to them and see what they say though.

^Yeah, I hear what you're saying. I also know of 2-3 local guys here in the Bay Area that also might want to get a CF hood. Most of them never get on the forum. A lot of the old schoolers don't check the "Other Rotary" section all the time either so we just got to be patient. I'm confident we can get these done.
Where the hell is Teddy anyway? Busy building that Deuce for the dragstrip I bet!

HUGE UPDATE!
Been extremely busy with other projects but this is still in the works. As a matter of fact, the RX3 carbon hoods are complete as well as some other RX3 parts. I will post pics of the RX-3 hoods so you all can see the workmanship.
These guys are all ready to move ahead with the RX2 caron hoods as soon as we get 2 more names on the list that are willing to commit.

Okay, couldn't host the larger resolution images so I had to resize them. Hope this gives you all a good idea.
I don't want to plug up this thread with requests for RX3 carbon fiber hoods so if there is interest please PM. If I get enough replies about these RX3 hoods (other 3 parts coming soon too BTW) I can then start a separte thread. For now lets try to get some RX2 parts going!
