IN THE V8 FORUM THEY LIKE TO STICK V8 IN TO ROTARIES. I DID IT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. CHECK THIS OUT

i agree
|
very nice!
|
SWEET!
Cool to see that... This coming from a RX-7 and Mustang owner! I love both cars, never thought about a rotary in a Mustang though. Cool idea none the less. Kudos to you for your creativity |
dude I am so confused, you should have put that in a ek2 and made it custom rwd.
or it would have been cooler in a 1967 Ford Shelby GT500. |
OMG that is very nice..what kind of power ?
|
Don't you know that is going to kill the weight bias of that mustang! hahaha

That is fucking sick. Very very different, congrats. One question though, why a mustank and not an FD?
|
Now maybe Ford will see this and get it right for their production mustangs... :D
|
Haha I bet rednecks hate your ass...
|
YES!!! Finally some sweet revenge!
I've always said if I had the money I'd slap a 20B into a '63 Stingray spilt window coupe. That would be the ultimate payback but your Mustang is certainly close. |
Oh yeah, you know what the say... PAYBACK'S A BITCH!!!
|
fucking sweet
|
Mawhahahaha Die Pistions Die Mawhahaha

2 RX-8 1 RX-7 '94 1 RX-7 convertible '88 and of course the newbie "the mustang" of course. |
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! that is so stupid.
|
Nifty, but honestly I was more interested in the background of the pics. I miss Puerto Rico :(
|
Show me some time slips.
Andrew |
Gotta love the Racing Beat license plate frame! If I was behind you I'd be like WTFBBQ?!
|
lol
You guys are funny... show Ford how to do it right? Getting back at "them"? That was a V6 Mustang. Its not like it was a Cobra or something else worth while. And yet again, people that respect the work it takes to swap engines will repsect that for what it is... a clean looking swap. A lot of us stick V8's in our RX-7's. A lot of rotary die hards get mad... Someone sticks a rotary in a V6 Mustang... I say good job. No bashing here, at least it probably has more power now than it did with the V6. |

LOL, nice.
A worthwhile upgrade for a V6 Mustang, no doubt, though I can't help but think it'd have been a lot more enjoyable in a smaller, lighter car. Datsun 510 perhaps. Nice looking swap for sure though. |

Actually, we put V8's in RX-7's, not rotaries. |
poor rotary! o well atleast u took the heart outta that thing and destroyed it!!!!!!!!!
|
Oh my god, they took out the soul of the mustang. It is no longer the experimental stallion kicking stang that it was. :molepoke:
If you wanted some payback should have done a 12A, but a 20b? Who is going to argue about putting that into a v6 mustang? |
yeah... it is a drag only car now. its not just that the weight balance has been thrown off... but the moment of inertia is different because the weight of the engine is no longer in the same place. it probably affected the center of gravity of the car as well.
not to mention the fact that it is no longer a "pony" car. that thing isn't even a Mustang anymore... if you wanted to swap a rotary into something why didn't you just keep the Mazda vehicle it came from?? now, try not to get your panties in a wad over this and take it as the joke that it is. |
wow, a 20b powered car that you can get parts for...cool!

FD WEIGHS ABOUT 2850LBS YOU WOULD BE ADDING WEIGHT. MUSTANG WEIGHS ABOUTS 3070LB WITH V6 AND AUTO TRANNY YOU WOULD BE TAKING OUT WEIGHT. MOST V8 GUYS WOULD WANT YOU TO BELIEVE IT A HEAVY CAR WHICH IS NOT JUST LOOK UP THE SPECS ON IT. |
Hell I thought i would get to see a grenade thrown under the hood of a mustang
|
i would love to hear a video of the mustang on the road. that'll be a site to see
|
first time i ever said something like this and it kinda scares me coming outa my mouth but that mustang is tight, and sence when do 3 rotors have no torque?

GAWDDAMNIT!!!!
I was just about to post that I was thinking about putting an Carbed 12A into a beatup POS 93 Stang LX that I found... to fix the manufactuers mistakes... Nice, but now youve got a 3rotor that wont handle lol :) :bigthumb: |
Interesting car, very different. It gets my vote for being different.
Personally I'd never drop a rotary in my Cobra or drop a V8 into my RX-7. But I'd sure love to see that car one day. As for pissing off Mustang guys, you might get a few of them going (usually the ones who call me a "ricer" for having a RX-7) but most don't care and there are the guys out there who just love to see something creative. Some of you out there might be suprised about how many Mustang guys own or have owned rotaries |
Omg I Just Crapped In My Pants!@
|
yeah, I know a few mustang eX-RX7 owners... they keep telling me that they liked the 7 more but couldnt afford it... One guy in particular that had a 3rd gen and sold it and bought a Pre-made AC Cobra...
btw, how hard was the swap? what was involved? |

it was probably a v6 anyways
same money spent, with that same turbo, you would make ALOT more power plus you need the torque to move a car like that wow  |
yup, it was a v6
