slimeball6969 11-07-06 01:25 AM

im not even suprised he did that on a V6 model

SaiOmega 11-20-06 04:01 PM

=\
What a waste of a 20b...
Very very nice install though. But if you wanted to really mess with the dumbestic purists... you should have stuffed that into a 69 camaro...Or better yet one of the old A-bodies like a Duster, or a Cuda. As it is you shoved a great motor into one of the ugliest/shittiest iterations of the "american muscle car" ever. GJ!

Stanis 11-23-06 12:41 AM

I love it! I love it! Wonderful NON waste of a rotary. Why the hostility toward putting the rotary in place of the pony power? What if we did it to the british cars instead? I have a 1948 Anglia, made my Ford in England, and I am saving my pennies to restore the car and put a 20b in between the front wheels. I can pick the front of the car up and move it around the yard, but it has no fenders on it I still love the 20B in the mustang!!!

but this definatly gets my "best car evar" award.

I'd drive that.
Trade for my FD?

Thanks, the owner and I will be taking it to a car show this weekend.
Soon a higher ratio will be installed at that rear and then to the dyno.
I have another rotary into a domestic vehicle conversion that I'm working on.
Soon I will get bashed again , but I do not give fuck. I just like doing thing different.

Nice swap. What tranny are you running behind it? What rear is in there? Any dyno #'s yet? Track times?

It has a turbo 2 tranny, rear end ratio is 4.33. No dyno number or track times yet but once we have they will be posted.

theroad64 12-23-06 06:29 PM

Thats cool as hell. I once saw an LS1 in a Mustang in the staging lanes...me and my buddies did a like a triple take...

2004 Mustang Weight: curb weight (lbs) 3,665

taken from this link: http://www.internetautoguide.com/car...ang/index.html

The weight you are quoting comes from the 1994 mustang body style.

You're an idiot. You just quoted the weight for a 2004 COBRA Mustang and this car was a V6. The Cobras weigh much more since they have IRS, a V8, etc. etc.

wrxfc3s 07-11-07 11:44 PM

wow...

crappy motor in a crappy car....

Makes one heavy and unreliable car with no torque in the right spot....

sorry, did I say that out loud?

Wow, THAT WAS GREAT WORK.

VTECthis 07-12-07 02:26 AM

like the 3 rotor stang. Although, in all seriousness the best way to fix a mustang is to climb up on the roof, piss on the windows, take a dump on the hood, place a brick at the accelerator and point the worthelss POS towards the nearest cliff.

MmSadda 11-25-07 11:10 AM

That's just beautiful lol. It might not be AS effective as a 20B FD, but to take a Mustang body and make it handle like that thing must, plus put down THAT much power... that's just incredible! Congratulations on the swap!

AcidAngel7477 11-25-07 04:03 PM

B-E-A-utiful...its about time. major props on this swap.

EricRyan 11-25-07 05:26 PM

Sweet, this thread is back from the dead for the 2nd time.:ugh2:

RotorRican 11-25-07 07:55 PM

Not again!!!

Those damn PR's put rotaries on anything...........

And I loved it!!!

mazpower 11-27-07 06:25 PM

This dude is my hero...definately a nice unique swap!

LostSoulMiata 12-11-07 02:13 PM

Very unique swap and never would have put the two together. Good job.

Wow still a lot of bashing from the V8 guys. It's a friggin' Mustang. "Defiling" a Mustang is like defiling a landfill. And Vettes are ridiculously bad off the line. A Vette engine will match up evenly against an engine with less power, not against an engine with more power. Unless it's a bridgeport/etc. that's also horrible off the line.

I think it's a waste of a good engine but it's very cleanly done and I like the work.

MazdaMike02 02-10-08 01:01 PM

Best way to fix a mustang? Sell it and buy a Camaro or Rx7.

Ry87TII 02-10-08 01:04 PM

Best way to fix a mustang is to drive it into a wall..... LOL.... sorry they were just never really my thing. But I have seen a few that were done right and looked decent.

BogusFile 02-10-08 03:14 PM

I would have put it in a Vega.

thafox 02-10-08 03:39 PM

wonder how much he's askin, id def buy it and take it 2 a fun ford weekend lol

SIDEWAYZE_FC 02-10-08 06:54 PM

FORD guys I work with would love this lol. Oh just to see ther faces would be priceless........

should put a 4-rotor in my F-150 so I can have a 4rotor 4x4! hmmm nah cost too much

warwickben 03-06-08 08:31 PM

wow i like it. iam also a mustang/capri guy own a 1984 rs turbo capri.also a 1980 rx7 sa. for those who don't know during the fox body era a capri was the same car but different fender's bumper ect. maybe iam odd for liking this car. but then again i own a inline 4 turbo fox body and the v8 guys dont like the fact it make more power stock then the 5.0.(even tho ford lied about the hp numbers saying the v8 had more)

i was thinking of buying a mustang if some thing bad happens.

i would like to get a 1994-1998 mustang and put a 13b in one.i hate the body but get a 99 to 04, get the cobra hood and bumpers that would piss hardcore mustang guys off the most.

BrettLinton7 03-06-08 10:41 PM

97 3.8 V6 Mustang w/100K < STOCK S4 FC w/ 230K... my mom had one and it wasn't too impressive, and the front end felt so heavy when you drove it hard...

A worthwhile upgrade for a V6 Mustang, no doubt, though I can't help but think it'd have been a lot more enjoyable in a smaller, lighter car. Datsun 510 perhaps.

Nice looking swap for sure though.

Or an Fc perhaps..... :)

Rotary-MG 06-24-11 09:03 PM

I told my Mustang fan boy co-worker that "Mustangs aren't REAL sports cars."
I don't think he's forgiven me to this day.

I'm not biasd.
I owned a '67 and two '68 Mustangs
and currently hot rodding my bro's '65.

oh come on! A car where the front and back subframes are not connected so to give a smoother ride???????? I don't see subframe connectors a necessity for RX7s.

TDIT 06-28-11 04:28 AM

Nice looking 20B conversion - very neat and clean. Great job!
Power and torque?
