ball joint help

i have bad ball joints on my 73 rx2. ive been looking in rockautoparts catalog and the have the ball joints for only 20 bucks. but the thing is, are the rx2 tie rods able to just replace the ball joint? because it looks like its just all one peace and i would have to buy both inner and outer tie rods. also they dont have rx2 tie rods but they have rx3 ones, and the 1st gen outer tie rod looks similar to my rx2 than the rx3 outer. But can some one who has experience with this help me out and get this over with? heres the link to rockautoparts and some pics of my car. i took them last night so im sorry if they look bad i will take new ones today.

You can use the RX7 inner ties rods, but it will require you to grind out the steering linkage to get them to fit.

You can also source the rx2 style from Austraila. I got most of my suspension parts from ringwood auto in Austraila. I think Rob is the owners name, you can find him on ebay. He always has a set of suspension componets listed on the site.

If you get the idler arm from a 3 to work post it up, as I do not believe anyone has found a suitable replacement, and it is not available anywhere that I know of.
