Anyone have a set of old Mazda floormats like these?

These are in an RX-2 that was a feature car in Mazda Sport magazine (before it split into Rotary Speed). I've been looking for other photos of them, but have yet to find any.

Were they an aftermarket item?

my 83 has mats w/ the old writing, but not the old m logo. I've seen only 2 other cars with these mats, i think they were a dealer aftermarket item. Now- you can't tell from my poor far away picture- but the mats you posted are the same shape, and same material (ribbed rubber) except mine have the inlayed "carpet". I think that they've got to be dealer aftermarket.

I've got floor mats in my Rx-4 that are similar. They are ribbed rubber with the old M logo, but they are all black and I don't think they have mazda in lettering. I'll have to take a closer look.

I have a couple of sets of these mats and they were available through Mazda dealerships nationwide in the seventies. They used to be pretty common but I haven't seen a set for sale for quite some time. It was hard to get a complete set in good condition as the drivers side wore out quicker than the rest. Here they are in my RX-2
