no problem with how long it took I am still in Iraq we leave sometime in the next 2 weeks. As for a part number just call atkins and ask for Danny tell him you have a cosmo and are wanting the bushing set for the front suspension. It is such a new part with them they haven't assigned a part number yet and they are the Manuf so if there are fit problems which there shouldn't be they can help direct.

Cutting in on your conversation.
Anyone here who has redrilled the driver shafts?
If you upgrade to 84-85 front suspension who not change the pattern at the rear to 114,3x4?
You get alot more wheels to chose from!
I'm tempted to do this on one of mine!

so back to the front strut swapping thing, seems like the only difference is that the bolts on the cosmo to hold the steering knuckle to the spindle are 14mm, where as the rx7 ones are 12mm.
btw, anyone know the thread pitch for the cosmo 14mm bolts? I got some bump steer spacers from T3 and need to get longer bolts to go through them.

i have two 1976 Mazda Cosmos (RX5) with 13B rotary engines. At one time i had three nicely running 1976 RX5s.
i did the restorations back at the end of the nineties but got into a crash that ended my car restoration dreams.
i guess they would be project cars now. Complete and not rusted - but they are slowly detoriating in the SoCal high desert sun.

I'm following this tread also Gents. I love the cross chat on the Cosmo/RX5/121.
I'am a big Cosmo fan and use to be located in Victorville High Desert area a couple years ago.
Although I did not get the Cosmo itch till my year in Afghanistan this past year. (Army guy)

Unicorn Squad I have seen your white Cosmo on craigslist within the past 9 months good luck with sale. Or if your keeping it I hope one day I can see it.
I wish all you Cosmo guys a good luck and I can't wait to get my 76 Cosmo also.

If it's still there, you should go pick it dry (lights, trim, grill, any interior in decent shape, et cetera). You'll have buyers and you'll profit.

I have a '76 also, been getting alot done recently.
Made new shift/e-brake boots, recovered visors, speaker deck, and yes the wood steering wheel.
Going a different direction with the dash than stock. The lower half of the Cosmo dash was a messy design to say the least, I'm going with a more modern approach.
Engine is finally in (yesterday!) now for the wiring???

Oh yea and if it doesn't work, its not removable!
I plan to recover the rears and run these in front till I can afford some aftermarket buckets.
There really isn't much available for the cosmo... especially interior and body rubber.
On the plus side... I did learn how to sew!

That was the plan... I've looked into dying the seats black, but from what I've heard about the SEM aerosol dye, I'm looking at 3-4 cans per seat at 13 bucks a pop. It might not even go on evenly, it will get "dusty" and rub off the high wear areas?
