Any exhaust ideas? Not the same old questions

Guys, I have a Maxton Rollerskate and need an exhaust. I'll try to get a pic up soon but until then I'll just give the specs necessary. I am running a side pipe that is 46 inches long with 2 racing beat presilencers. It is stupid loud and at the local autocrosses I'm referred to as the "loud car". I really need to get it quieter so I can meet the 95db rule. I also have to stay with no more then about 4 or 5 inches in diameter. I'd like to just buy and bolt up what I need but really, that seems unrealistic. Anyone had any luck with one long muffler or maybe 2 short mufflers in series? All the usual rotary stuff, i.e. no glass packs, should be considered mandatory. Thanks for any help.

Keep one presilencer up close to the engine. The reason is obvious; it's designed to handle rotary heat and reduce high pitched noise, but doesn't really muffle mids and lows.

The second muffler should be an 18" long or longer 4" or 5" round Magnaflow with the same core size as your presilencer; 2" or 2.5".

I've tested lots of mufflers with a simple air blast from an air compressor. For its size, my 18" long 4" round Magnaflow with a 2.5" core quiets surprisingly well. Also if you yell through it, it is more effective than several others I've tested in similar ways; air blast and yelling. This muffler is going under the rear apron of my MG Midget 13B project very soon. I expect it to perform well as the final muffler in a complete system which includes a mini collected header (2" primary collecting to 2.5", all in thickwall tubing), RB 2.5" presilencer, Magnaflow 4x9 oval centered/offset 2.5" core, then under the axle to the 4" round mentioned earlier.

Note this 4" round is often refered to as a MagnaPack: http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...e=main&id=8990

It really does quiet surprisingly well for its size. The length is probably what's responsible. Good thing for you it's only 18" shell length and will fit where an RB presilencer once was.

If you're looking for some other options like a 5" round or whatever: http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/universalmuffler.asp

Best setup are the magna flow's, or flow masters 3in out and out...One in the tunnel, the other at the rear...worked great, kept the heat, raspy sound, and not stupid loud...

yes three inches from header back...I had the pipe go under the rear axle and then up...never scraped never hit the floor...

Thanks, it looks like magnaflow should work. I was also checking on Burns stainless mufflers but they are expensive.
