I saw a decent go for 20k on ebay. It will take mucho bucks to restore the NSU due to lake of parts.. It is 40 years old remember?

That one looks pretty good, but any restoration could have expensive traps. Some things will have to be custom fabbed.

I remember that car and its predecessor the NSU Prinz. It is VERY small. There were a bunch of too-small euro cars in the 50s-60s: Renault Dauphine, Fiat 600 (what a jazzy econo-car to drive! And the Zagato double-bubble was an absolute Italian thrill!), Lloydwagen (powered by a glider motor), etc. Also an interesting US too-small car, the Crosley (interesting 750cc engine fabbed from sandwich steel plates - won the first Sebring on Index).

Frankly, I'd rather have that 67 Cosmo 110 that went for $25k a few months ago.

im with you on that bliffle, but if I could afford a $25k collector car Id just go ahead and buy a needy NSU spyder as well. The last spyder I saw go on ebay was in great shape and only sold for like $8k

Id go for a cosmo as well, but damn! That is too cool to ignore, although i dont know how I feel about a single rotor...haha. Can you imagine how hard it is to find parts for that? 1900 made, and how many are actually in the US? Very cool car, not doing so hot in bidding though, if i had some money, id drop a few bills on that for sure. Hope it goes to a good home.
