RX3 struts are the same but you might not find those either. A lot of people end up using FB front suspension and brakes and space up the front for a decent ride height since this conversion will lower the car 2-3 inches depending.

you can also just check RE Speed. I believe they sell a spacer for the strut cartidge if you only want to change the struts

In one of my RX-3s, i modified an 83 strut tube to fit a rwd 626 koni cartridge. Im in the process of modding another set of strut tube to fit FB tokico + 2" re-speed insert. Im not sure if the 626 and glc catridge are the same lenght. If ur interested lmk

Looks like Chevette stuff is just as obscure as rx3 and glc stuff. I would use the fb suspension...just to get the brake upgrade. Its not that expensive to get what you need and if the parts need upgrading already...check ausrotary too under "323 owners" section of the "Members Rides" section of the forum. You will see everything there from 5 lug swaps with fc brakes to commodore rear ends to ladder bar set ups. But again if budget must prevail, then put fb struts with re-speed adapter/spacer in the strut tube
