74 REPU For Sale
Apparently the guy thinks he's going to get 10 to 12K. Absolutely perfect ones can be had for under 8K.
Lessee now--- This one has: a blue Ford Courier tailgate (with dents in it) on a burgundy truck, the crappy beehive oil cooler instead of the way more efficient under-rad air-to-oil type, no rear view mirrors, front bumper damaged, rear bumper missing, paint inside bed peeled away, minor dents and dings, non-stock steering wheel and seats, and rust that appears more serious than the owner would have you believe based on his description.
"Nice" means it needs nothing and has no flaws. None. It's not bad for a '74 and certainly a worthy restoration project, but far from perfect and therefore not worth top dollar. I'd go 4K tops, and even that's being generous.
But what I find alarming is that a) no VIN is provided, and b) he claims that there is clear title and "no liens in my name." So what exactly is he saying? That there's no liens period, or that there are liens, just none in his name? Be careful.

Well the first thing I notice is that he has destroyed the "collector vehicle" status with the newer 12a instead of the OEM 13b. plus the comp mods and certainly never produced by Mazda paint. (Looks like an Earl Schrieb job to me!) Missing the original tailgate (The Rotary Power decal is one of the REPU trademarks.) Holes in the floor, but no rust? I'd call that a 1500-2000 max as it sits ride and probably wouldn't offer more than 500 unless I could drive it and check it out myself.
I've already bid up to $700 on it but the current high bidder has his limit set higher. My guess is he is set at 1k. It's not bad buy so long as the price stays under $1200 IMO.
