'72 RX3 project for sale.

Howdy,
I've got a '72 RX3 project that I'd sell for $2000.
The body is straight and rust-free and has also been seam-welded for additional rigidity. It has a '74 factory-rebuilt 12A with 17K on it, and a 4-speed ribcase. It comes with all the parts to finish it. The body has been re-painted the original sunrise red with Du Pont Centari, but the paint job isn't the best, and it could use some work on the doors particularly. The dash is probably the finest in existence, no cracks or wear whatsoever, it looks brand new. I will also include a BUNCH of parts, including extra doors, and sheetmetal. Someone would need a pretty big truck and trailer to get all the stuff that goes with it home.
This is a FANTASTIC deal for someone who has the time and skills to finish this project, and will yield a truly first-rate RX3 if done right. I could make a fortune offering the components on eBay, but there are so many parts to list/photograph that this just isn't feasible, plus I'd like to see someone finish this car so I'd like to sell it locally if possible. I spent about ten years gathering the components for this project, and chose the best pieces (I have like 2-3 of most everything). If anyone is interested in coming up to take a look, I'm sure they would not be disappointed. Many of the components have already been "cherried-out" by myself. Anyone interested should e-mail me: mikeg@epud.net
Thanks. -Mike

I'll try to clear some of the clutter away from the car in the next couple of days so I can take a pic or two. It's currently buried under a bunch of boxes and covered in dust. ("Oh, the humanity!")
I forgot to mention that it also has a custom-made header that provides more clearance for the idler arm to avoid baking it. Anyone who has installed a header on an RX3 knows what I'm talking about. I'll also include a brand-new set of NOS Konis for all four corners, an RX2 swaybar (bigger!) and a set of lowered RX2 springs (heavier!) It currently has Mulholland high-pressure struts as the previous owner was going to make it into an SCCA pro-rally car.

No really it's not far for a car like that pending how the pics look. Seams like a great deal. Fly there one way on Southwest for 99 bucks. Rent a uhaul pickup and trailer and tow the sucker back. Fill the pickup with the rx3 parts. Get home and sell what you don't want and it will pay for the trip. See, now doesn't that sound easy.

I was planning a trip to Washington for a FB but the car got sold.

I should be able to post some pics this weekend. My wife says she'll help me move all the boxes, etc. that are obscuring the car so that I can take some pics. I've had a few e-mail responses from interested parties, and with good reason as this is really a good deal! -Mike

Damn Mike, you really make me want it now. Post up the pics! I may not be able to resist. Maybe I'll use the gslse as a daily and drop the turbo motor into the 3

I'm going to push the car out into the driveway tomorrow and take some pics, weather permitting. Too rainy to do it today.

"I will help box up the parts and suck..."

Thanks Matt, but just helping box up the parts will be enough.

*resisting urge to sell 7 for 3*

That car is clean as hell. If I had the money, I would have that in my driveway in a heartbeat. I hope it goes to a good home (too bad it probably won't be mine, unless i win the lotto, or maybe... )
