I still have to get the interior done. It runs well but I do not know how it will do at the track.

Did you ever take a test run without the carb hat?

Yes and it holds boost. With the hat the boost seems to drop after 6500 rpm. I might have to replace the hat if I want to race it.

Thank you for your help!

9" cheap base with a k&n filter and filter lid worked great for me, nice and compact too...the hat doesn't work because a carb needs a plenum unless you are running blowthrough.

Too bad that I do have enough room for one. The deck lid hinge clears the carb hat by less than 1/4". I have looked at other options have leaned toward replacing it with a turbo.

The engine is from a 91 NA rx7. It was street ported. The actuators for the 6th port were removed. It has a holley 650 on the 7" Camden supercharger.
