1973 Deuce restoration......

Hi fellow OLD SCHOOL ROTARY Fanatics, I just became the proud owner of this sexy Gem, a 1973 RX2, I had her transported from Los Angeles Ca to North Carolina last week. She is 99% Rust free, and no dings or dents. Im really looking forward to get this Gem all fixed up and ready, She came with 3 piece 15" Epsilon wheels, a RB header and full exhaust, the interiors are ok, then again for a 43 yo car is not too bad. Here are some pics, as I work on it I will post more pics. Any advise, suggestions, critics or comments are welcome. Thank you all!!!!





I was told these are Australian Tail lights.

Dang man! I didnt realize you had transported it from CA! Was it an online auction type deal or did you know the original seller? If it was an online transaction was the car in the condition you expected when you received it? It looks like an awesome project and I for one am extremely jealous. I just don't have the nuts to purchase sight unseen

lol yes I had it transported from Los Angeles Cali to North Carolina it took 4 days and $725.00 later.... lol Yes the purchase was on line off craigslist, I didn't know the original seller from Adam, I did some research and background check on the seller prior to sealing the deal, you be surprised what you can find out on the net... lol the car was actually in better shape than I was expecting and the seller threw in all the extra parts, there was no hidden issues with the deal or the car. The car is SOLID only 1 small spot of rust in the trunk floor the size of a dime. I guess I was that .01% that sends money up front and gets the deal he bargain for. I have to admit I was scared to send the money without seeing the car.

Im happy with the purchase and I cant wait to restore it.

Well yesterday I took all the seats and interiors out cleaned and vacuumed, Between Purple Power and simple green the interiors and the floors are cleaaaaaaaaan and again NO RUST, the door panels are 90% perfect a little of simple green and they look like new, ill post pics tonight.

Oh wow, as soon as I saw it in knew it was a good deal I just got lucky to buy it sight unseen.

Is your tunnel cut? looks like you have an rx7 tranny in there? that could be the issue

yes you are 110% correct the tunnel has been cut so I have an RX7 tranny.

love a 2 coupe. rare as hen's teeth in OZ.

the colour in the bay and trunk, herschelle orange, or something, looks like the factory original... what's your plans for the exterior colour?

thank you im going to paint the outside the same OEM color. Orange. What do you think?

well I got some help from my Puertorican Connection and we figured out the electrical problem, did some trim installation and some engine and interior cleaning.
