One of my favorite cars and my love for rotaries ad up to this awesome mini,, you got a lot of ***** to do this conversion,,that car is light as hell it most go like mother,,kudos to you...

You gotta love the rotary it fits in anything you put it in AND WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you can see, this is not a 'show 'n shine' project. The car is built to be driven in anger!
Have had the first start up for the season, but Norway is still covered in snow, so driving is a few weeks away. Don't have any videos yet, but they will come....

Sorry...still no videos. First track-session is 16th of April, and I promise that some moving images will be recorded!
Adding some images of the new anti-roll bars front and rear... Had some body roll last year, and they will hopefully sort it out. The rear one I nicked from my mates BMW E30, and made it fit. It works well, and was free...
The front is an adjustable Minispares unit. Bolt-on for a change...
Got some new "shoes" as well

 

Had the first drive after winther today...and almost had to change underwear

Had the car at the tracks this weekend, to tweak the suspension, and do some testing. Had problems with the FD leading coil messing up at high boost when warm, so it was mostly cruising and short pulls. Managed to outdrive a couple of 911 GT3s on the straight a couple of times...FUN for me, but they was a bit upset...and surprised!
Going to do a Dyno-session tomorrow to figure out the ignition problems (now FC coil) and do a power-test...will post the numbers!
Made some LIVE footage as requested, but it looks a bit lame because of the problems we encountered... The car is faster than the video makes it look

Well... the Dyno-session was a success! Tweaked the ignition a bit, got rid of the mis-fire and it made 365 RWHP and 417 Nm at 1,1 bar without any problems. That'll do...

Very nice.

Please get us a video of it on the track with it running like it does now on the dyno.

It seemed fast with it cutting out, it must be frightfully fast with it running well.
